Title:Managing Director
Business:Global Banking
Education:Majored in Integrated Policy

The reason I chose the financial industry is because I wanted to understand one of the core industries that makes up our social structure. Since I joined, I have been working in the Global Banking division giving advice to clients who wish to maximize their corporate value through M&As. I have dealt with several large projects, such as the creation of new strategic relationships for Nissan Motors and Renault, and AT&T’s investment in NTT DoCoMo. I have traveled to major financial centers, including New York and London, and have been involved in global projects such as forming a strategic alliance for Suntory Ltd and Groupe Danone Co. Every meeting with clients for those projects was intense, where it seemed that everyone involved was at the edge of their seat.

Some parts of the investment banking business overlap the management consultancy business. However, the big difference between the two is that the results of our business are clearly evaluated by the market. Each step in the process leading to completion of the project is critical. In each project, we support one side—the seller or the buyer—who each have opposing interests. By negotiation and identification of mutually beneficial points we try to complete the project successfully. I thoroughly enjoy this thrilling and exciting process.
