| 11:30 | Lunch Usually take it at desk while sorting out information to send out to sales & traders once the afternoon market opens. We sometimes order curry from a nearby store which is my favorite. |
| 13:30 | Update market data and put together presentations While constantly communicating with sales during market hours, we use this time to put together market information to give out to local sales and traders and overseas counterparties once European & U.S. markets open |
| 16:00 | Conference call with London team Host a daily call with London teams to update them about Japanese investors' needs and discuss future potential transactions with overseas debt-issuers. As the market moves every day, we are constantly exposed to new information; we ask for overnight updates from issuer-coverage teams and provide them with most up-to-date local market information. |
| 18:00 | Market wrap-up for the day Informal discussions with traders about the market behavior of the day, and data-refresh for overseas teams. It's a lot easier to hear detailed information from traders after market hours since their atmosphere during the market is usually very tense. |
| 20:00 | Time to work on projects and take care of emails As the floor becomes a bit more quiet compared to the exhilaration during the day, I take time to focus on the investor-profile project that I have been working on to circulate to overseas issuer-coverage teams. This time at night can be very useful to study on your own or work on your personal projects. |
| After work | Get relaxed before going to sleep I usually try to read a novel at night before going to sleep. During the day, you try to stay so focused that sometimes your brain remains very active even after arriving at home. Nighttime reading helps calm it down and gets you ready for a good rest. |
