Sales & Trading Middle Office

Sales & Trading Middle Office plays a vital role in supporting the sales activities of the Equity and Fixed Income Products.

Responsibilities

Sales & Trading Middle office covers a wide scope of business areas to ensure that sales people and traders are well supported and that transactions are processed smoothly. We play a vital role in linking our sales people and traders with the support staff in other divisions in Japan and abroad. The Sales & Trading Middle office professionals work as a team to understand all aspects of the business and to respond flexibly to a changing business environment.

We are responsible for opening and maintaining client accounts, creating and sending preliminary trade confirmations to clients, and checking settlement details for trades.

This section is a liaison between Sales and Operations and therefore comprises of a group of professionals who understand the business end-to-end and can respond quickly and flexibly.

Training Programs

You will participate in a four-week orientation program in our Tokyo office. You will learn Japanese business manners and will also be introduced to all divisions within Citigroup Global Markets Japan. Following the completion of our training program, we will assign you to a specific section. The assignment decision will be based on your skills and our business needs. You will develop much of your professional business career through on-the-job-training.

We also have an in-house program called the Mentor Program. Your mentor will provide you with medium-term guidance to assist you to develop your abilities.
